Which audit is right for you?

SEO Juggernaut offers three different reviews, and the right one depends on how much detail you need. The free local visibility audit is an automated snapshot that takes minutes. The AI visibility audit focuses only on how ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews describe your business. The full SEO audit on this page is the deep, manual review of everything.

When a full audit makes sense

A full audit is worth it when you know something is wrong but can't tell what, or when you're about to make a big decision. Typical moments we hear about: calls from the website dropped and nobody can explain why. You've paid an agency for a year and can't see what they did. You're planning a redesign and want to protect what already ranks. A competitor in your town keeps outranking you in the Map Pack despite fewer reviews.

It also makes sense before you hire anyone for ongoing SEO services, including us. An audit gives you a baseline, so any future work can be measured against real starting numbers rather than impressions. Contractors, law firms, medical practices and multi-location companies across Nassau and Suffolk all use it this way.

What the full SEO audit checks

The audit covers seven areas, and every finding is tied to its likely effect on calls, forms and booked customers.

AreaWhat we checkWhat you learn
TechnicalCrawlability, indexing, canonicals, redirects, Core Web Vitals, JavaScript rendering, sitemaps, structured dataWhether Google can reach and store the pages you need ranked
On-pageTitles, headings, keyword-to-page mapping, cannibalization, internal links, alt textWhich pages target the wrong search, or compete with each other

BacklinksReferring domains, link quality, toxic patterns, local citationsWhether your link profile helps, hurts or barely exists

The Map Pack grid scan

The grid scan shows where your business appears in Google Maps results across your actual service area, not just from your office. We run your key searches from a grid of points laid over the map, so a Hauppauge HVAC company might see that it ranks third near the Route 347 corridor but drops off the map entirely by Commack or Bay Shore.

That picture matters because Map Pack results change block by block. Owners usually check rankings from their own desk and assume the rest of the county sees the same thing. The grid scan replaces that assumption with evidence, and it shows which towns need location pages, profile changes or reviews mentioning those areas. Those findings feed directly into Google Maps SEO work if you decide to address them.

Backlinks and competitor analysis

The link and competitor review explains why other businesses outrank you even when your site looks better. We pull your referring domains, sort the useful links from the junk, and flag patterns like spammy directories or links from unrelated foreign sites that may need a closer look or, in rare cases, a disavow file.

Then we compare you to the three to five businesses that consistently beat you for your main searches. For a personal injury firm in Mineola or a remodeler in Massapequa, that comparison usually reveals a short list of concrete differences: more town pages, local sponsorships and news mentions, stronger review velocity, or tighter service pages. You'll see exactly what they have that you don't, and which gaps are worth closing first.

Your AI visibility snapshot

Every full audit includes a snapshot of how AI search tools describe your business today. We ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews the questions your customers ask, such as "best roofer near Port Jefferson" or "Long Island mold inspection company," and record whether you're mentioned, which competitors are, and what sources the tools cite.

This is a snapshot, not the full study. It tells you whether AI visibility is a real gap worth addressing now. If it is, the dedicated AI visibility audit goes much further, testing dozens of prompts, tracking citations over time and mapping the sources AI tools trust in your category.

What you receive

The audit is built to be used, not filed away. Every deliverable is written in plain English, with technical detail kept in an appendix for your developer:

  • Executive summary: the five to ten findings that matter most, in order of impact
  • Full findings report: every issue across all seven areas, with evidence and screenshots
  • Prioritized action plan: each fix rated by impact and effort, with who should do it
  • Map Pack grid results: visual heat maps for your main searches
  • Competitor comparison: side by side, with specific gaps called out
  • AI visibility snapshot: prompts tested, results recorded
  • Recorded walkthrough: a video or live call where we explain the findings and answer questions
  • Raw data exports: crawl files and keyword data you keep

From kickoff to walkthrough

The process runs in four steps.

  1. 1Kickoff call (day 1). We learn your services, best customers, service area and what's been tried before.
  2. 2Access (days 1 to 3). You grant read-only access to Search Console, analytics and your Google Business Profile. No passwords needed for most tools.
  3. 3Research and review. We crawl the site, run grid scans, pull link data, test AI prompts and study competitors.
  4. 4Delivery and walkthrough. You receive the report and action plan, then we walk through it together and answer every question.

What happens after the audit

After the walkthrough, the plan is yours to use however you like. Most clients choose one of three paths. Some hand the action plan to their in-house team or web developer and do the work themselves. Others hire us for specific projects that came out of the audit, often technical SEO cleanup or on-page SEO rewrites. The rest move into a monthly plan where the audit becomes the first 90 days of work.

There's no pressure either way. An audit that sits in a drawer helps nobody, so we write it to be useful whoever ends up doing the fixes. You can see how earlier engagements started on our results page.

What results to expect

The audit itself doesn't move rankings. It gives you an accurate diagnosis and a priority order, which is what makes the work afterward efficient. Owners typically come away knowing which two or three problems were costing them the most, and which recurring tasks they could stop paying for without losing ground.

Results from the fixes depend on what's found. Removing an indexing block can show up within weeks; building local authority across Nassau County and Suffolk takes months. Because the audit records a baseline for indexed pages, Map Pack positions, traffic and calls, you'll be able to measure the improvement honestly.

How the full SEO audit is priced

The full audit is a one-time, fixed fee, quoted before we start so there are no surprises. Price depends mainly on site size and the number of locations: a single-location contractor with a 30-page site needs less time than a law firm with offices in Queens and Garden City or a franchise with ten territories. The quote lists exactly which areas, searches and locations are covered, so you know what you're paying for. If you move into a monthly plan afterward, ask how the audit fits into it, since its action plan usually shapes the first months of work. See pricing for how our services are structured.

SEO Audit FAQ

How is this different from the free audit?

The free local visibility audit is automated and gives a quick read on a few headline signals. The full SEO audit is done by hand by a specialist, covers seven areas in depth, includes Map Pack grid scans, competitor and backlink analysis and an AI snapshot, and ends with a prioritized action plan and a walkthrough call.

Do I have to hire you after the audit?

No. The audit is a standalone purchase, and the action plan is written so your own team, developer or another agency can follow it. Some clients use it to check whether their current provider is doing the right work. If you'd like us to handle the fixes, we'll quote that separately after the walkthrough.

Can you guarantee the audit will find the reason my traffic dropped?

No. Sometimes the cause is outside your site, such as a Google update, a new competitor or a seasonal shift, like the post-summer slowdown many East End businesses see. What we can promise is a thorough review of every likely cause we can test, with clear evidence for what we found and honest notes where data is inconclusive.

What access do you need?

Read-only access to Google Search Console, Google Analytics and your Google Business Profile covers most of it. We don't need your hosting password or website login for the audit. If your site runs on a platform with limited data, we'll tell you upfront what we can and can't see.

Is the audit useful for law firms and medical practices?

Yes, with a few extra checks. For law firms we note content that may raise New York attorney advertising concerns. For healthcare practices we flag pages, forms or tracking that should be reviewed against medical advertising and patient privacy rules. We point these out for your compliance review rather than giving legal advice.

See the whole picture before you spend
